Mountain Meadows is home to an abundance of wildlife, including the California Black Bear, Blacktail and Rocky Mountain Mule Deer, Pronghorn Antelope, Bobcat, Mountain Lion, Coyote, Beaver, River Otter, White-tailed Hare, and Western Gray, Douglas and Flying Squirrels. The Sierra Red Fox is among the endangered or threatened species found here. Species of special concern include the Snowshoe Hare and Badger. The watershed also contains habitats ideally suited for the rarely seen Pine Marten.

Trout-fishing is excellent in the streams of the Mountain Meadows watershed. You’ll also find good fishing in the Reservoir if you like Bass or Catfish.
