The Mountain Meadows Basin lies on the north end of the Sierra, cradled between the Sierra and Cascade ranges. Springtime in the Basin brings out a delightful array of blooming flowers, many of which continue to thrive through most of the summer due to continuing snow melt from higher elevations and the occasional summer storms.
